McKenzie River Salmon and Trout Fishing
2024 was a great year on the Mckenzie and Umpqua Rivers. The Mckenzie saw a spectacular return of summer steelhead that were eager to take flies swung into tailouts. The Umpqua was fantastic for Smallmouth Bass as usual and 100+ fish days were the norm. I'd like to thank all my guests this year for trusting me to be your fishing guide. Smallmouth Bass Fishing on the Umpqua
Summer means bass fishing on the Umpqua River near Roseburg, Oregon. We regularly catch 100+ Umpqua smallmouth bass on these guided fishing trips. This trip is enjoyed by everyone from Dad's with kids to couples as well as experienced fly anglers. Even the most beginner angler will likely catch more than a dozen fish on this trip. The beauty of the McKenzie river is unmatched and the opportunity to catch aggressive trout and hard fighting steelhead make it a premier fishing destination. The town run steelhead on the Willamette River in Springfield, Oregon has become a great option for steelhead fishing within minutes of downtown Eugene, Oregon. Our summer steelhead inhabit water very conducive to swinging flies, throwing spinners or pulling plugs and bait divers. However you prefer to fish for these chrome bullets, Ferris is the right guide to put you on them.

I have countless hours rowing rivers all over Oregon and I am US Coast Guard Certified and Licensed.
