McKenzie river spring Salmon

McKenzie River Spring Salmon are a special fish that enter the Columbia River as early as February, journey over 200 miles into the McKenzie River and hold in the deep, cold pools until the fall before they are ready to spawn.  Fishing with Ferris Guide Service starts fishing for these upriver springers in May, just as they begin to arrive back to the hatchery where they were released.
